Weighted Hula Hoops

Weighted Hula Hoops are my favourite form of exercise. Yes, I did say exercise. Have you ever tried to hula hooping? If the answer is no, you are missing a wonderful opportunity to get fit and stay in shape while dancing and having fun. Weighted hula hoops provide an experience unlike the tiny lightweight ones you can find in toy stores. You will be dancing to music, burning calories and dancing like you have never danced before.Weighted hula hoops come two different types which are machine made and handmade hoops. Making your own hoop is entirely possible and I will discuss that a bit later on. Machine hoops usually will come in many pieces and you have to assemble them to complete the hoop. Sometimes you can find these sold in one piece (These are better quality so would recommend them over the collapsible type).The size of the hoop will depend on your preference and your height. I prefer a hoop that stands between my armpits and my mouth when it up. I always recommend for people to go "too large" than to make a hoop that may be too small. It is always easier to take a piece out than to add an extra piece in. Also, if you are able to get your hands on some weighted hoops before you purchase your own, take note of how tall the hoop is on you. Do you like the way it rotates? Do you want a slower rotation? If so, ask for a larger hoop and for a faster rotation, shrink the hoop down.
